The Fall of Unicoop: The Birth of Unicoop the Cursed
Long ago in the realm of Stampvale, a land woven between magic and craft, there lived a unicorn named Unicoop. He was beloved: bright mane shimmering with rainbow hues, horn aglow, always generous and full of good cheer. His image was stamped on many tokens and artifacts, representing joy, possibility, and a bit of “badassness” in a gentle way (a notion honored by the craftsmen of Ow&Co.)
Unicoop’s closest companions included Scoops, “the little unicorn best friend” always smiling, and Double Scoop, wild and unpredictable. They roamed the hills of Stampvale, bringing hope to villages and cheering broken spirits.
One day, a strange new stamp design appeared in the workshop of the master stamp‐smiths. It was black as void—no color, only shadow. They called it “Ghowstie”, a spectral figure that flickered in the corners of mirrors and haunted the unlit halls. While its looks can easily deceive the naive, Ghowstie’s essence could twist the hearts of even the pure.
When Unicoop visited the stamping hall to see his own new imprint, the master smiths unveiled a special version: the “Blackened Unicoop” stamp — the normal, joyful unicorn silhouette, but edged in abyssal void. Unicoop was curious, drawn to the strange beauty of darkness, and asked that this variant be pressed onto his own horn. The stamp was hammered with a tempered enchantment, meant to “enhance uniqueness.” But the forger, unknowingly, had forged a conduit for Ghowstie’s spirit.
That night, Unicoop dreamed shadows weaving around his horn. He awoke to pain and metamorphosis: the rainbow mane faded to ashen silver and onyx streaks; his horn glowed with black light. The reflection in a pool showed slit eyes, claws and a twisted smile. He had become Unicoop the Cursed.
Scoops and Double Scoop rushed to his side, but Unicoop no longer recognized them. Where once he had brought laughter, now he spread dread. With a flick of his corrupted horn, he raised a ghostly stamp-mark upon every meadow he passed, bringing decay and fear in his wake.
In his vengeance, Unicoop the Cursed hunted down the masters of the stamping hall. He smashed the enchanted stamps — “Owlala,” “Lady Luck,” “Infinite Possibilities” — twisting each design into a darker mockery. He left ghost‐burned impressions of Ghowstie intertwined with his own silhouette stamped on cursed artifacts.
Scoops, sorrowful but determined, set out on a quest: to find a hidden “Un-Stamp” with light magic strong enough to purge the curse. The hope remains that Unicoop the Cursed might one day be redeemed, and the unicorn of laughter restored — but until then, the land of Stampvale trembles under the mark of the dark unicorn.
