Under the 18th hole at Ow&Co.’s favorite little stretch of earth, lives Muni Mowse ... or at least that's the story.  Some say he simply appeared one day, carving out a tiny little kingdom in the dark, his home a maze of tunnels filled with lost tees, broken pencils, old golf balls, empty packets of Zyn and most importantly, birdies.
 
Muni Mowse doesn't make birdies, he steals them.
 
Every time someone drains a putt for birdie on 18, Muni hears it.
 
Clink.
 
Muni scurries through the tunnels, pops open his little trapdoor beneath the green, and claims the birdie for himself.
 
That's why you can hit the perfect putt, watch it disappear into the hole, and still walk away wondering where your birdie went.
 
Muni took it.
 
Some golfers swear they've heard scratching beneath the green.  Others claim they've caught a tiny pair of eyes watching from the rough just after sunset.  Every once in a while someone finds a suspicious collection of golf balls buried beneath the 18th green.
 
Of course, nobody has ever actually caught him.
He watches.
He waits.
